Success with political promotion by SMS

Our Chilean partner and reseller Txt2cel.com acheived greate success using the Z2i.com SMS platform to help promote the Senator Juan Antonio Coloma to win the precidency of the Chilean party UDI (Chiles largest political party). The result was so succesful that it made news in the Chilean newspaper:

"I just left the UDI (the most popular political party in Chile national headquarters) after sending the first politically motivated bulk sms in this countries history. The senator who contracted the service to send a message to his potential voters & collegues just called to inform me that he was giving a speech during lunch to 40 other Chilean senators, deputies, & representatives (who happend to be copied on the bulk send) when the message arrived.

According to the senator, the sms asking his collegues & registered voters to vote for him during the upcoming presidential party elections could not have arrived at a better time. As laughter started to breakout, the senator who was responsible for the message said, "thank you" & sat down!"

On the election next Saturday, senator Coloma won the election for president of "La UDI"
